3DMed Project progress meeting succesfully held in Ghent, Belgium on April 1 2019

At the time of the 3DMed project running into its 7th month, a project progress meeting was held at 3Square in Ghent, Belgium on 1 April 2019. Thirty-seven participants from the project partner organizations and observer partner organizations in the consortium joined together to review the progress made in the past six months and plan the joint activities in the forthcoming months in details.

With the concerted efforts of all the project partners, the initiation phase of the project was successfully completed in mid-January 2019. The planned activities in each of the work packages were in full swing, with many work package meetings, bilateral/trilateral meetings and mutual visits taking place. The deliverables with due dates till 30 March 2019 were all completed. Deliverable reports in a unified format were delivered. The milestone review report concerning the initiation phase was completed. Publication procedure was established. Technical modification of the project application form was uploaded in the EEP (Electronic Exchange Platform), ready to be approved by the Managing Authority. Risk management strategy was reviewed by the end of 2018 and it stays open for updating, along with the changes in medical device regulations  in Europe.

During the meeting, each of the work package leaders gave a presentation with additional information given by individual partners. While the due dates of most of the deliverables and outputs are far away, nearly all activities have taken place to ensure steady progress. Basic information needed to prepare for the first milestone report due on 30 June 2019 has already been correlated. Internal plans have been made with regard to the preparation of the first annul progress report.

Action plans are listed in the meeting minutes and will be followed up during the next project progress meeting to be held in Oxford, UK in October 2019.
